All-on-X full arch implants in Brisbane

A whole new smile, fixed in placeA full arch of new teeth in one morning, under sedation.

Even if there's not much left to save, this starts from exactly where you are. All-on-X replaces every tooth in a jaw with a fixed new set held by a handful of implants, placed in a day surgery under sedation. No judgement about how you got here. Just a way back.

  • Sedated for all of it, with an anaesthetist
  • A fixed full set, not a denture
  • One clear surgical fee (excluding sedation), confirmed in writing
Model of a full arch of new teeth held by implants, known as All-on-X A full set of new teeth Held by a handful of implants

Often called All-on-4 or All-on-X. It's fixed to the implants, so there's no taking it out at night, ever.

Every part of an All-on-X arch: the implants, the gum-toned base and the full row of new teeth

What All-on-X actually is

Three parts, one complete smile

Tap the numbers on the photo. Together they replace every tooth in the jaw with something that looks, feels and chews like your own, and never comes out.

A complete row of teeth, custom-made for your face, your bite and the smile you want back. Not pulled from a shelf, built for you.

A slim, gum-coloured base that sits neatly against your own gums, so the teeth look like they grow naturally. Nothing covers the roof of your mouth, so food still tastes like food.

Usually four to six small titanium posts per jaw, placed under sedation. Your bone grips them over time, and they hold the whole arch firmly, so it never moves when you eat, laugh or talk.

This is not a denture. It's fixed to the implants, needs no adhesive, and never sits in a glass by the bed. You clean it standing at your bathroom sink, like teeth.

The denture question

Life with a denture, life with All-on-X

If you've worn a full denture, you already know the small daily negotiations. Flick between the two and see what changes at dinner, at bedtime and everywhere in between.

To be fair to dentures: they're the lowest-cost option and the right call for some people. If that's true for you, Dr Niels will say so plainly. This page just shows you what's possible.

The part that makes us different

    Sedated for all of it

A full arch is the biggest treatment we do, and that's exactly why it doesn't happen in a dental chair. Your whole treatment runs in a proper day surgery under IV sedation or general anaesthetic, so most people remember little of the morning they dreaded most.

    • An anaesthetist watches over you

A Medical Anaesthetist whose only job is you: your breathing, your heart, your comfort, the whole way through.

    • A day surgery, not a dental chair

Your arch is placed in a theatre in Chermside, with a quiet recovery room to rest in afterwards.

    • No sounds, no smells, no watching

The drill, the tray of instruments, the long mouth-open stretch: you're sedated for all of it, and most people remember very little.

What about teeth while you heal? You won't be left without a smile. Dr Niels will plan what you wear while your implants settle, and it's all laid out at your consultation before anything is decided.

    The journey

Four gentle steps to a whole new smile

It sounds enormous. Walked through step by step, it's one relaxed visit, one morning under sedation, some quiet healing, and a fitting. That's the whole road.

    1. About an hour

      Consultation and 3D scan

An honest, judgment-free look at your teeth as they are now, with a detailed 3D scan. Dr Niels plans your new arch and you leave with a fixed written quote, nothing more.

How it feels: like a conversation, not a procedure. Nothing happens on this day.

    2. One morning

      One morning, under sedation

Remaining teeth come out and your implants go in, all in one session at the day surgery while you're under IV sedation or general anaesthetic. Home the same day.

How it feels: your sedation starts, and most people remember very little until recovery. For most people the day feels strangely easy.

    3. A few months

      Quiet healing time

Your bone quietly grips each implant until it's rock solid. You're never left without a smile, and Dr Niels plans what you wear while everything settles.

How it feels: like nothing. This step is mostly just time passing.

    4. A short visit

      Your final set is fitted

Your custom-made arch is fixed to the implants, your bite is tuned until it feels right, and that's it. No sedation needed for this gentle visit.

How it feels: like meeting a version of yourself you'd quietly given up on.

Your timing may differ a little. Healing depends on your mouth and bone. Dr Niels will map your exact journey at your consultation, in plain English, before anything is decided.

    What it costs

One arch, one clear surgical fee

One guide price covers the surgical work for your whole arch, with sedation and day surgery fees separate. It’s confirmed as a fixed written quote after your exam and 3D scan.

    $25,000 per arch surgical fee
    • All your implants
    • Your full set of new teeth
    • Your check-ups

Replacing both jaws? Dr Niels will quote it as one clear plan at your consultation, before anything is decided. Sedation and day surgery fees are separate, and we’ll go through them with you at your consultation, along with a general anaesthetic if you’d prefer to be fully asleep.

Many people fund All-on-X with super access through SuperCare, often alongside a payment plan or health fund. See how people make it work.

    What happens on the day

Your day, from arriving to heading home.

Not knowing what happens is most of the fear, so here is the whole day, step by step. Walk through it at your own pace.

Step 1 · Before the day

    Everything arrives in writing first.

Your written plan tells you exactly when to stop eating and drinking, what to bring, and what to leave at home. You will have organised someone to take you home, and if any question comes up in between, you can just call us.

    Step 2 · Arriving

A quiet arrival, not a waiting room.

You come to the day surgery in the morning, and someone who knows you are coming meets you. The paperwork is mostly already done. There is no sitting in a row of chairs listening to a dental clinic at work.

    Step 3 · Settling in

You meet the person who watches over you.

You settle in, change into something comfortable, and meet your anaesthetist, the person whose only job today is you. Ask them anything at all. Someone can stay with you right up until your sedation starts.

    Step 4 · Sedation starts

A small drip, and you settle into sedation.

A small drip goes into the back of your hand, a quick scratch and it is done. For most people it simply feels like getting heavier. There is nothing you have to do, and nothing you have to be brave about.

    Step 5 · During treatment

The work happens. You are watched the whole time.

While you're sedated, Dr Niels does the agreed treatment, and the anaesthetist watches your breathing, heart rate and oxygen without a break. Long appointments pass easily when you're deeply relaxed.

    Step 6 · Coming round

You come round slowly, with it done.

You come round in the recovery room with a nurse nearby, and you take as long as you need. Feeling groggy is normal and it passes. Most people are surprised how gentle this part is.

    Step 7 · Heading home

Someone you trust takes you home.

Once you are ready, the person you organised drives you home, with written instructions for the evening, what to eat, and how to take it easy. We check in with you the next day to see how you are going.

Every day surgery day runs to a plan, and the exact times for yours come with your written treatment plan, so there is no guesswork on the morning.

    Ways to pay

More than one way to pay for it.

You will always have a fixed written quote, with item numbers, before anything is booked. When it comes to paying, these are the options we work with.

    • SuperCare

For eligible patients, SuperCare manages the application to access superannuation for approved dental treatment, including the paperwork with the ATO.

      Eligibility criteria apply

    • MediPay

Payment plans for dental treatment, often sorted within a day, with funds paid directly to the clinic. You will know the full cost of your treatment before you commit to anything.

Subject to approval · terms apply

    • Health funds & Medicare

Some surgical items attract Medicare or health fund rebates. Your quote includes the item numbers, so you can check exactly what your fund pays before you decide.

      Depends on your cover

Every option has its own terms and approval process, and we will walk you through what applies to you. MediPay is a credit provider. Accessing superannuation early affects your retirement savings, so we recommend independent financial advice before going down that path.

    What's it about?

    Questions

    All-on-X questions, answered

The questions people most often ask us about full arch implants, with no sugar-coating.

    Still wondering about something?

Ask us anything. There are no silly questions here.

This is the question behind most of the calls we get, and the honest answer is: almost certainly not. All-on-X was designed for mouths where most or all of the teeth are failing. Your 3D scan tells the real story, and you won't be judged for any of it.

Yes. The entire session happens at Dormir Group Surgical Centre in Chermside, which we operate out of, under IV sedation or general anaesthetic, with a Medical Anaesthetist watching over you the whole time.

Usually, yes. Removing the failing teeth and placing your implants typically happens in the one session, under sedation. One morning, not months of separate appointments.

Usually four to six per jaw, which is where the names All-on-4 and All-on-X come from. Your 3D scan and your bone decide the exact number, and your quote shows it before anything goes ahead.

No, and the difference is the whole point. A denture rests on your gums and comes out. All-on-X is fixed to implants in your jaw: no plate across your palate, no adhesive, and nothing to take out at night.

You're never left without a smile. Dr Niels plans what you'll wear while the implants settle, and it's all laid out at your consultation so there are no surprises.

Soft food while everything settles, then steadily back towards normal. Once your final set is fitted, most people eat the foods they'd quietly given up on, steak and apples included.

You brush it like natural teeth, plus a quick clean under the arch with a small brush or water flosser, which we'll show you. It stays in your mouth the whole time, no glass by the bed.

With good care, the implants can last for decades. Like natural teeth, the arch needs regular check-ups and professional cleans over the years, which are charged separately, and the teeth themselves can be refreshed if they ever need it.

For a standard arch, the $25,000 surgical fee covers the implants, your full set of new teeth and your check-ups. Sedation and day surgery fees are separate, and we’ll go through them with you at your consultation. It's a guide price, confirmed as a fixed written quote after your exam and 3D scan, and if your mouth needs anything extra, you'll know before you decide anything.
