Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Full mouth rehabilitation in Brisbane, rebuilt under sedation

When it’s not one problem but everything at once, broken teeth, missing teeth, infection, years of wear, the answer isn’t a dozen separate appointments. It’s one carefully sequenced rebuild, planned from a single scan and carried out under IV sedation or general anaesthetic at Dormir Group Surgical Centre in Chermside, which we operate out of, in as few sleeps as your mouth allows.

  • One written master plan, one fixed quote
  • Dormir Group Surgical Centre, run to ANZCA standards

Who It’s For

When it’s not one problem, it’s everything at once

Full mouth rehabilitation is for mouths where no single treatment covers it. Broken teeth here, missing teeth there, old work failing, infection underneath. Instead of chasing each problem separately, the whole mouth is assessed once and rebuilt to one plan. If any of these sound familiar, you’re in the right place.

Every tooth seems to have its own problem

You’ve been patching teeth up for years

Some teeth are broken, some missing, some ache

You’ve been told it’s too far gone

You don’t want ten separate appointments

You want it planned properly and fixed once

Nothing about your mouth will shock us. Rebuilds like this are exactly what the clinic was set up for, and the consultation is just a look and a conversation. No lectures, and nobody counting how long it’s been.

What It Involves

One plan, built from whatever your mouth needs

No two rebuilds are the same. Yours might need three of these, or all five. The point is that they’re not quoted and booked one by one: everything is sequenced into a single written master plan from one 3D scan, grouped into as few sedation appointments as possible.

Work that can happen in the same appointment, happens in the same appointment. Extractions, grafts and implants are commonly done together, with the finishing work staged as your mouth heals.

Bone grafting and sinus liftsRebuilding the foundations. About grafting
Dental implants and bridgesFixed replacements for missing teeth. About implants
Crowns and restorationsRepairing and protecting the teeth worth keeping.

All of it combined into one written master plan, with one fixed quote, before you decide anything.

And if the honest answer is that every tooth is failing? Then rebuilding tooth by tooth isn’t the kindest path, a full set of fixed new teeth is. We’ll tell you straight if that’s your situation.

About All-on-X

The Master Plan

Your rebuild, one stage at a time

1

The Scan

One consultation, everything mapped

A single visit and a 3D scan shows exactly what’s saveable, what isn’t, and what your jaw can support. No guesswork, and nothing decided without you.

2

The Plan

Your written master plan

The whole rebuild sequenced on paper: what happens, in what order, across how many sedation appointments, with one fixed quote for the lot. You take it home and decide in your own time.

3

The Treatment Days

The surgical work, slept through

Extractions, grafts and implants are grouped so each sedation appointment achieves as much as safely possible. You’re under IV sedation or general anaesthetic every time, with a Medical Anaesthetist caring for you, and home the same day.

4

The Finish

Final fitting, then easy maintenance

The finishing work, crowns, bridges or your new arch, is fitted and refined once everything has healed. After that it’s routine check-ups, the same as anyone else.

Planned once, finished properly

What happens on the day

Your day, from arriving to heading home.

Not knowing what happens is most of the fear, so here is the whole day, step by step. Walk through it at your own pace.

Step 1 · Before the day

Everything arrives in writing first.

Your written plan tells you exactly when to stop eating and drinking, what to bring, and what to leave at home. You will have organised someone to take you home, and if any question comes up in between, you can just call us.

Step 2 · Arriving

A quiet arrival, not a waiting room.

You come to the day surgery in the morning, and someone who knows you are coming meets you. The paperwork is mostly already done. There is no sitting in a row of chairs listening to a dental clinic at work.

Step 3 · Settling in

You meet the person who watches over you.

You settle in, change into something comfortable, and meet your anaesthetist, the person whose only job today is you. Ask them anything at all. Someone can stay with you right up until your sedation starts.

Step 4 · Sedation starts

A small drip, and you settle into sedation.

A small drip goes into the back of your hand, a quick scratch and it is done. For most people it simply feels like getting heavier. There is nothing you have to do, and nothing you have to be brave about.

Step 5 · During treatment

The work happens. You are watched the whole time.

While you're sedated, Dr Niels does the agreed treatment, and the anaesthetist watches your breathing, heart rate and oxygen without a break. Long appointments pass easily when you're deeply relaxed.

Step 6 · Coming round

You come round slowly, with it done.

You come round in the recovery room with a nurse nearby, and you take as long as you need. Feeling groggy is normal and it passes. Most people are surprised how gentle this part is.

Step 7 · Heading home

Someone you trust takes you home.

Once you are ready, the person you organised drives you home, with written instructions for the evening, what to eat, and how to take it easy. We check in with you the next day to see how you are going.

Every day surgery day runs to a plan, and the exact times for yours come with your written treatment plan, so there is no guesswork on the morning.

Ways to pay

More than one way to pay for it.

You will always have a fixed written quote, with item numbers, before anything is booked. When it comes to paying, these are the options we work with.

  • SuperCare

For eligible patients, SuperCare manages the application to access superannuation for approved dental treatment, including the paperwork with the ATO.

    Eligibility criteria apply

  • MediPay

Payment plans for dental treatment, often sorted within a day, with funds paid directly to the clinic. You will know the full cost of your treatment before you commit to anything.

Subject to approval · terms apply

  • Health funds & Medicare

Some surgical items attract Medicare or health fund rebates. Your quote includes the item numbers, so you can check exactly what your fund pays before you decide.

    Depends on your cover

Every option has its own terms and approval process, and we will walk you through what applies to you. MediPay is a credit provider. Accessing superannuation early affects your retirement savings, so we recommend independent financial advice before going down that path.

Questions

Full rebuild questions, answered

The questions people most often ask us about full mouth rehabilitation, with no sugar-coating.

Still wondering about something?

Ask us anything. There are no silly questions here.

Almost certainly not, and this is the question behind most of the calls we get. Rebuilding badly broken-down mouths is exactly what the clinic was set up for. Your 3D scan tells the real story, and you won't be judged for any of it.

You're sedated for every surgical stage: extractions, grafts and implants all happen under IV sedation or general anaesthetic at Dormir Group Surgical Centre in Chermside, which we operate out of. The day surgery runs to ANZCA guidelines and standards, with Fully Qualified Medical Anaesthetists caring for you. The awake visits are the easy ones, fittings and adjustments with nothing to brace for.

It depends on how much rebuilding your jaw needs. Some rebuilds are largely done in one appointment. Where bone needs time to heal between stages, the process spans some months, and your written master plan maps every appointment before you start.

No. What you'll wear while you heal is part of the plan from day one, not an afterthought. You walk out of every stage with a smile you can live with.

Sometimes, and we group the work so each appointment achieves as much as safely possible. Whether yours can be done in one depends on your scan, and your master plan will tell you exactly how many appointments to expect.

Your written master plan comes with one fixed quote covering the whole rebuild, confirmed after your consultation and 3D scan. Nothing goes ahead until you've approved it, and if anything ever needs to change along the way, the change is put to you in writing first.

Not here. A long gap is one of the most common reasons people need a rebuild in the first place, and nobody at the clinic will comment on it. The consultation is just a look and a conversation, and the treatment itself happens under sedation.
